Augmented reality and technology-enhanced endodontic education
Key Studies:
OralSense: Electrochemical Point-of-Care Diagnosis of Pulpitis
It is an electrochemical point-of-care platform designed to detect inflammatory biomarkers and assess the inflammatory status of the dental pulp at the chairside. By translating molecular signals into clinically actionable information, OralSense aims to support more objective diagnosis of pulpitis and more appropriate case selection for vital pulp therapy.
Accuracy of Dynamic and Static Navigated Endodontic Microsurgery Using Single Vertical Incision: A Retrospective Study
Abstract:This retrospective clinical study compared dynamic and static navigation in endodontic microsurgery performed through a single vertical incision. Across 60 treated teeth, both techniques achieved comparable overall accuracy for osteotomy and root-end resection. The analysis also identified technique-specific factors that influenced precision: larger lesions affected dynamic-navigation accuracy, while static navigation achieved lower resection-angle deviation in posterior teeth. These findings support evidence-based selection of guidance technology for minimally invasive endodontic microsurgery.
